Accountant

Qualifications:

• Should have a good Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA or ACCA certification.
• Should have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should have at least 3 years of working experience in a laboratory or medical equipment company.

Responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliation (Daily and monthly).
• Keeping account books and systems up to date.
• Costing of stocks (Imports).
• Preparing payroll and filing tax returns.
• Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments.
• Monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations, providing timely updates and recommendations to management.
• Ledger straightening.
• Preparation & updating of the fixed asset register on a regular basis (additions & disposals).
• Preparation of monthly reports.
• Following up on invoices not yet received from the suppliers.
• Invoicing, checking & signing of sales invoices (prices, payment terms, transfers if received, EFRIS).
• Stock taking and preparation of stock variance reports as and when required.
• Liaising with departments.
• Handling of cash (in absence of cashier).
• Generation, preparation & submission of monthly reports.
