Advocacy and Networking Officer

Contract

We are looking for a passionate Advocacy and Networking Officer to join our team and play a key role in advancing our mission through the development and execution of advocacy strategies, partnerships, and representing PSD in various forums.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advocacy Strategy:
    • Oversee the design and implementation of advocacy strategies.
    • Monitor policy and legislative developments and offer insightful recommendations.
  2. Networking and Partnerships:
    • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and grassroots movements.
    • Collaborate with partners to amplify advocacy efforts.
  3. Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct research to inform advocacy campaigns and policy briefs.
    • Analyze policies affecting women’s rights and adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
  4. Capacity Building:
    • Organize workshops and community forums to raise awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights.
    • Provide technical assistance to local partners.
  5. Communication and Reporting:
    • Prepare advocacy materials such as reports, newsletters, and media content.
    • Represent PSD at conferences and public forums.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Law, or related fields (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in advocacy, public policy, or social justice (preferably in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights).
    • Experience in networking and building partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in research, analysis, and digital advocacy.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Passion for women’s rights and social justice.
    • Strong commitment to ethical conduct.
