AGRONOMIST

Contract

If you have a green thumb, love working with farmers and are well-versed in sustainable agricultural practices, Enimiro Uganda is looking for you.

 

Job requirements:

  1. Extensive knowledge and skills in Farmer engagement, community development, and leadership
  2. Knowledge and understanding of the Ugandan Vanilla sector and vanilla farmer needs
  3. Great interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Experience in organic farming principles
  5. Computer literacy in MS programs
  6. Demonstrated knowledge in organic and fair-trade certification requirements
  7. Conducting extension staff trainings on best agronomy practices
  8. Coordinating with other extension staff in the implementation of the Internal Control System
    (ICS) manual.

Academic requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related

Experience: At least 2 years experience in Extension work

Period: 6 months

Area of Affectation: As per job requirements

Start date: April 8th 2024
