Audit Assistant

The Audit Assistant will support the Audit Department in handling various Audit-related assignments around the firm.
Role/Purpose
To support in all Audit duties around the firm.
Main responsibilities
• Participate in and,
• Train in the preparation of client financials.
• Train in completing medium-level client files with t h e assistance of audit seniors [from
scoping to forming opinions on individual client file areas]
• Fully orient yourself into the Forvis Mazars BRJ team
• Read and understand the firm’s audit manual (excluding chapters on groups etc.)
• Explore and commence further learning and training on audit related issues – risks/controls etc
• Understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
• Coordinating the collection of information/documents internally to respond to queries raised by
auditors and tax authorities.
Requirements
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
• Punctuality and attentiveness.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of Second Upper’s degree in any field.
