The Brand Manager – Broadcast will be responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy to meet company objectives for all broadcast products.

Nation Media Group is Uganda’s most influential media house, operating the Daily Monitor. Saturday Monitor and Sunday Monitor newspapers, 93.3 KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM, NTV Uganda, Spark TV, Nation Courier Service and the Monitor Business Directory.

 

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that prioritize digital touchpoints to grow the broadcast brands while ensuring alignment with Nation Media’s digital-first vision.
  • Design and implement cross-channel marketing campaigns across broadcast touchpoints leveraging synergies between platforms to maximize audience reach. engagement and revenue generation.
  • Implement cohesive cross-platform branding initiatives that integrate innovative digital solutions to enhance awareness. revenue and market share of broadcast media.
  • Plan and execute community outreach programs and on-ground activations that drive brand visibility and customer engagement with focus in the regions.
  • Work closely with Radio and TV programming teams to align marketing efforts with the company’s strategic objectives to deliver new growth channels across audiences and platforms.
  • Utilize market research and consumer insights to develop data-driven strategies that identify emerging trends in both digital and traditional media.
  • Manage the marketing budget for broadcast brands ensuring all marketing activities are financially sound and deliver return on investment.
  • Regularly monitor performance metrics and report on the impact of marketing activities on revenue generation across digital and traditional media channels.
  • Develop and execute digital optimized innovative brand campaigns that motivate both external and internal audiences.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and sponsorships that enhance brand visibility and generate new revenue opportunities while ensuring alignment with brand objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Academic: University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or any related field from an accredited institution
  • Professional: Certification or Diploma in Digital Marketing, Professional Marketing or Communication (e.g., CIM or similar qualifications) is an added advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Good working knowledge of digital marketing strategies. social media platforms and content marketing; as well as a strong understanding of traditional media operations (Mandatory)
  • Ability to formulate and execute strategies that balance the needs of traditional broadcast media with the company’s digital-first strategy
  • Proven experience in managing complex. multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and broadcast simultaneously with effective prioritization and attention to detail
  • Ability to drive customer-centric initiatives that enhance brand loyalty and optimize service delivery across all touchpoints
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams. including editorial, circulation, courier, and customer service departments
  • Strong financial skills to manage marketing budgets, track performance metrics and ensure that all activities deliver a return on investment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and
  • the resolve to handle tight deadlines and changing priorities
