BUSINESS MANAGER

Full-time

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for leading direct Courier sales across the country through partnerships and seeking for long term contracts. The Business Manager plans, coaches and guides the team on how to close business.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that Nation Courier meets monthly revenue targets and customer satisfaction objectives for direct areas of responsibility using the value selling process and partner with the sales team to interface with clients with an objective to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Ensure that the sales team is driving new clients, up-selling of existing courier clients while ensuring retention.
  • Build and maintain a high performance sales team.
  • Consistently focus on meeting the needs of the customers.
  • Hold Business Executives accountable to performance including; forecasting to maximize opportunities and determine areas for improvement.
  • Coach Business Executives to achieve maximum productivity through competency development.
  • Identify opportunities for the Business Executives and assist in developing sales strategies.
  • Provide proactive support in the recruitment of the best and most qualified individuals for available sales positions.
  • Provide continued individual and team trainings.
  • Provide opportunities for developing employees to the next level
  • Manage employee performance.
  • Serve as a member of the management team and help develop strategic direction for the department.
  • Monitor commissions, reports, customer trends and competition to recommend, develop and implement changes in direction as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Academic: University Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any business related course or its equivalent from an accredited institution.

Professional: Diploma in Sales and Marketing. Membership to a professional body like CIM is highly desired.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales/marketing experience in an FMCG industry as well as proven experience in meeting targets and managing people.
