CCTV Hardware Technician

Mukwano Industries is hiring a CCTV Hardware Technician

Reporting To Network Administrator, The Successful Candidate Will;

Key Result Areas:

*Install, maintain, and repair CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs, monitors, and associated cabling and hardware.

*Conduct regular system checks and updates to ensure that CCTV systems remain functional and up-to-date.

*Perform site surveys to determine optimal camera placement and ensure coverage of critical areas for surveillance.

*Configure and program CCTV systems for recording, including setting up motion detection and scheduling recording times.

*Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with CCTV systems, identifying hardware faults and software glitches.

*Provide training to clients on the operation of CCTV systems, including how to review footage, export video clips, and manage system settings.

*Implement network configurations for IP-based CCTV systems, ensuring secure and efficient data transmission.

*Coordinate with security personnel to provide video evidence and support investigations.

*Upgrade CCTV systems by integrating new technologies to enhance system capabilities.

*Any other duties assigned by Network Administrator/IT Head.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

*Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology.

*Knowledge of CCTV components i.e., new age surveillance cameras, Monitoring station, Cables and Routers, Video Recorders, Data storage and CCTV software.

*Professional certification is an added advantage.

*2 years relevant work experience in CCTV installation, maintenance and network configuration.

Skills & Professional Attributes Required

*Possess strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical and troubleshooting skills.

*Hands-on hardware/network troubleshooting experience.

*Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.

*Self-motivated with excellent personnel management skills.

*Understanding of the organization goals, objectives and quality management systems.

*Ability to handle multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced working environment.

*Excellent team player and has the ability to manage time in an efficient manner.

*Good Communication skills, excellent customer support attitude and good documentation skills.
