Q-Sourcing is hiring a Chief Information Officer (CIO) who will lead the development and execution of Lycamobile Uganda’s IT strategy to support business growth and operational excellence. This role focuses on optimizing IT infrastructure, driving digital innovation, and ensuring seamless integration of IT solutions across all business functions. The CIO will play a critical role in aligning IT initiatives with business needs to deliver superior customer experiences and operational efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Strategy and Leadership:
• Develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy in line with the company’s objectives.
• Oversee IT governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business priorities.
• Manage IT budgets, resources, and investments to maximize ROI.
Digital Transformation:
• Lead initiatives to digitize business processes and enhance customer engagement.
• Implement advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and automation to streamline operations.
• Ensure the successful integration of mobile money platforms and digital payment solutions.
Infrastructure and Operations Management:
• Ensure robust and scalable IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud platforms.
• Oversee system integration, database management, and IT support services.
• Monitor IT performance metrics and drive continuous improvements.
Data Management and Security:
• Establish best practices for data governance, analytics, and reporting.
• Implement strong cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with business leaders to understand and address IT requirements.
• Foster a culture of collaboration between IT and other departments.
• Ensure timely resolution of IT issues to minimize disruptions.
Vendor and Partner Management:
• Build and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and manage SLAs to achieve optimal service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of IT leadership experience, with a strong focus on digital transformation and IT infrastructure.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects, particularly in telecom or related industries.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, data management, and IT governance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
