Chief Operations Officer

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will focus on the creation and expansion of the Healthy Entrepreneurs operations in multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the regional headquarters being in Kampala, Uganda.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Department: Operations Department
The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensuring the strategic alignment of operations with the organization’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies to build and manage operations, distribution, and customer processes and systems at optimal costs
- Ensure compliance of all country operations with the organization’s procedures and guidelines.
- Expand the network of Healthy Entrepreneurs in all countries and build operational teams at national and global level
- Drive the (intrajorganizational learning agenda
- Supervise organizational development in all countries
- Work closely with the Chief Technology Officer on the use of IT systems
- Integrate all solutions and improvements in Healthy Entrepreneurs’ ERP system, Odoo
- Monitor monthly performance evaluation of start-up country offices
- Set operational targets for all country offices and monitor country performance
- Guide the organization in its trajectory to become a sustainable enterprise
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics/ in Business
administration, and/or in
Supply chain management & Logistics;
A background in health and relevant experience in business is preferred - A minimum of 15 years working experience in successfully scaling businesses or implementing operations in multiple countries
- Fluency in English & French (both in speech and writing)
