Pentecostal Ministries of Uganda Churches is seeking a Child Development Officer – HEALTH
Pentecostal Ministries of Uganda Churches is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Lord Jesus as per scripture in Matthew 28:16-20. We are working in partnership with Compassion International Uganda in the ministry of nurturing children to release them from poverty in Jesus’ name.
We invite applications from suitably qualified born-again Christians to serve in Child Development Projects under their umbrella projects at Acholibur Child and Youth Development Centre and Katagata CYDC at PMU Churches.
POSITION: CHILD DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – HEALTH (1 POST)
REPORTS TO: Project Director
LOCATION: Katagata CYDC
Core Duties and Responsibilities for CDO – Health:
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, with a Christ-like attitude in dealing with people.
- Working within one’s influence, serves as an advocate for children and their caregivers who live in poverty and are not able to speak out for themselves. This includes being informed about issues of children and influencing others to greater involvement on their behalf.
- Plan and coordinate health screening for project children.
- Identify children and caregivers with special health needs and design an action plan in collaboration with project leadership and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate medical care and distribution of provisions to the identified beneficiaries, children, and caregivers.
Academic Qualifications:
- Preferably a degree in Child Development Studies, Social Work and Social Administration, Education, or any other related courses.
Experience:
- At least two years of working experience in children ministry.
Working Hours:
- Eight (8) hours
