Children’s Surgical Hospital in Entebbe is hiring a dedicated and qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our team. This role is essential in providing psychological assessments, therapies, and support to clients, including children, while contributing to community outreach and professional development.

Salary Scale: U4

Reports To: Senior Clinical Psychologist

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Community Psychology.
Training in Clinical Psychology is an added advantage.

Other Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical approach to mental health, counseling and listening skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out psychological assessment of clients including children.
Offer relevant treatments (therapies) such as psychotherapy and counseling.
Participate in community outreach programmes.
Initiate and participate in research activities.
Train and supervise staff under him/her.
Manage and account for allocated resources allocated.
Plan and coordinate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in his/her area.
Provide technical supervision in Regional Referral and General Hospitals and Health Sub-Districts.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
