Coating / Painting Insulation Specialist

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project is hiring a Coating / Painting Insulation Specialist who will oversee engineering, procurement, and construction management, ensuring all coating, fireproofing, and insulation processes align with EACOP project requirements.

Reports to: AGI Construction Site Lead
Location: Field
Job Type: Full-Time

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support contractors to ensure timely delivery of pipeline and associated AGI, MST facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Implement safe work practices on project sites.
  • Assist contractors in the interpretation of drawings and technical solutions.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure quality control for sandblasting, coating, and fireproofing processes.
  • Oversee material storage, equipment maintenance, and workforce training.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree/Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
✔ Certified NACE CIP or equivalent (BGAS-CSWIP, FROSIO).
10+ years experience in Oil & Gas construction (minimum 5 years in coating supervision).
✔ Proficiency in MS Office, industry codes & standards, and engineering drawings.
✔ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
