helping them shape brighter futures for themselves and their communities. We’re looking for a Communications and Marketing Officer to join our growing team and bring our vision to life through strategic and creative communication efforts.
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Type: Full-Time.
Reports To: Executive Director
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Communications and Marketing Officer, you’ll:
• Design and Implement Strategies: Craft communication and marketing plans that
• elevate Her Voice Africa’s profile and drive support for our programs.
• Manage Digital Presence: Oversee social media platforms, websites, and email
• campaigns to deliver consistent and engaging messaging.
• Create Compelling Content: Develop content that tells the story of Her Voice
• Africa’s impact—from newsletters to press releases, blogs to social media posts.
• Build Media and Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate relationships with media,
• donors, and partners to amplify our reach and influence.
• Analyze and Report: Track the effectiveness of campaigns using analytics, ensuring we continuously improve our efforts.
What We’re Looking For
• Education: A diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior experience in managing digital platforms, developing marketing
• strategies, or creating content. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Strong storytelling, writing, and editing abilities. Proficiency in social media
• management and basic design tools like Canva is a plus.
• Mindset: A self-starter who is creative, collaborative, and committed to Her Voice Africa’s mission.
• Adaptability: Eager to learn and grow, with a readiness to take on challenges in a
• dynamic environment.
