Communications Manager
Full-time
The Communications Manager will manage and enhance CCBU’s corporate reputation by implementing the PAC Strategy in Uganda. This includes overseeing project execution, engaging various stakeholders, cascading business strategies through effective internal communication channels, and managing public and media relations to strengthen the organization’s reputation regionally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and execute the communications strategy and plan.
- Develop and maintain a corporate narrative and strategic messaging.
- Establish communication objectives, integrate internal and external communications, and provide strategic issue and crisis management advice.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including media.
- Oversee channel content planning and provide insights through research on reputation, media trends, and market issues.
- Govern Incident Management and Crisis Resolution (IMCR) activities, ensuring all plans are in place and training needs are identified.
- Enhance corporate reputation through stakeholder engagement, media relations, and enterprise development programs.
- Manage public relations activities to foster community relations and support business initiatives.
- Contribute content to internal and external publications.
- Support event execution.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related discipline.
- Added advantage: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Communication.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in communication, public relations, stakeholder management, and engagement at the middle to senior management level.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning and executing initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and collaborate with implementation partners.
Competencies:
- Influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
- Initiative and self-driven approach.
- Ability to communicate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution expertise.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate reputation management and its metrics.
- Business acumen and decisiveness.
- Ability to interact and influence across organizational levels.
