Corporate Affairs Intern

Internship

On behalf of our client EACOP, we are looking for a competentskilled, and experienced Corporate Affairs Intern to work in Uganda

 

 

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Support the execution of engagements and activities of The East African Crude Oil Pipeline(EACOP) within the project area to promote acceptability of the project by:

  • Support the implementation of the Companies External and Internal Communications
  • strategy and calendar on site.
  • Support the implementation of approved site visit requests.
  • Events management support and supervision of branding for all events and activities.
  • Coordination of the documentation and content development for communication
  • Stock management Corporate Affairs materials and branded items.
  • Support aspects of media relations (preparing and issuing press releases to
  • local/community radio stations, responding to media and public inquires upon validation
  • by management, organizing press conferences and briefings, media site visits, etc.).
  • Support in identifying and building a network of key influential individuals and groups key
  • to Project operations at site.
  • Any other activities as determined by his/her supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience required:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications / Public Relations/ Marketing & Advertising
  • Communication & interpersonal skills: ability to write and communicate in English (a
  • must), Luganda, Runyoro and/or Runyankole (an added advantage).
  • Adaptability, agility and tact: ability to work in and adapt to a remote environment.
  • Organizational, scheduling and planning skills and good problem-solving skills
  • Self-confident and sociable – ability to network effectively.
  • Well-developed computer skills, and understanding of the internet, social media tools
  • Have the ability to prioritise and think creatively.
  • Clear understanding of how to reach stakeholder audiences through targeted messaging
  • and effective use of communications tools.
  • Ability to muti-task, and simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Stakeholder relations management skills
