Data Analyst

The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide insights and support decision-making processes within the agency.
This role involves managing incentives, analyzing agency performance, preparing persistency reports, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data analysis strategy.
- Design incentive programs to motivate and reward agency performance.
- Analyze persistency data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improving retention rates.
- Establish performance benchmarks for agencies and individuals to measure and compare performance
- Ensure data analysis activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis to drive business growth and efficiency.
Operational
- Gather, clean, and prepare data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness for analysis.
- Prepare detailed persistency reports to track policy retention and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct detailed analyses of agency performance, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create and distribute performance reports for individual agents, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for development.
- Perform trend analysis to identify emerging patterns and insights that can inform strategic decision-making.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS FOR THE JOB JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (e.g., master’s in data science, Business Analytics, or Statistics) is a plus.
Functional Skills
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Experience in developing and implementing predictive models to forecast trends and outcomes.
- Ability to create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
- Knowledge of data governance practices and data quality assurance processes.
- Understanding of the life insurance industry and key performance metrics.
