Data Clean-Up Officers

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Confirming whether accounts being maintained by the Bank have the requisite Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation in line with the Bank’s policies and Procedures and flag any missing KYC information.
2. Ascertaining the validity of the KYC documentation maintained on the Bank’s customer account opening files.
3. Confirming whether all KYC documentation being maintained on the customer account opening files was verified
4. Flagging all account opening files with outdated KYC documentation
5. Perform up to date risk profiling for customers based on the customer’s current information.
6. Verify whether the data maintained on the customers’ files is the same as the data captured in the core banking system
7. Generate daily reports on the progress of the customer data validation exercise
8. Once done with the validation, the team will support the Branch Managers in calling customers who have missing information to come and update their information with the Bank.
9. Identify all Bank customer accounts that are yet to undergo an update of the KYC process
10. Identify any missing account opening files at the Branch
11. Check completeness and accuracy of all account opening records captured in the core banking system.
12. Identify any customer accounts that require enhanced due diligence and currently do not have proof of enhanced due diligence on file.
13. Support the Branch in proper re-filing of all the customer account opening files that have been reviewed and cleared

Knowledge and Experience:

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Uganda in Banking, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or Statistics preferably 2nd class upper.
2. Minimum score of Credit 6 in Mathematics and English in Uganda Certificate Examinations (UCE)

4. Appreciates teamwork fundamentals
5. Proficiency in computers including Ms Excel
