The Data Clerk will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and efficient data management and reporting within the health facility setting. This position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to maintain precise electronic and paper-based records, support data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of patient care services
St Francis Hospital Nkokonjeru with support from Makerere University Walter Reed Project through a system strengthening approach to improve HIV and TB Prevention, care and treatment services is implementing a comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention Care and Treatment program in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Local Government structures, and Faith based Organizations in the districts of Luwero and Nakasongola. St Francis Nkonkojeru Hospital seeks to engage qualified persons to support implementation, data management and reporting for Health Systems Strengthening. The recipients of these awards invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of Data clerks based in Luwero and Nakasongola
Contract Tenure: 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funding.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter patient information and medical records in the Health Facility’s electronic information systems.
- Collaborate with médical staff to ensure entry. completeness and accuracy of data in the
- Review and verity accuracy and completeness of data entered in the paper and electronic data collection tools
- Take lead in the to routine data cleaning processes to enhance data quality.
- Take lead in generating accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure timely and reliable submission of required reports in MoH, PEPFAR and Program supported
- Utilize the Health Facility’s EMR system for data entry. retrieval, and reporting.
Required Education, Knowledge and Experience
- A minimum of a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, Statistics, Medical Records or any other related field of study. A Degree is of an added advantage.
- Prior experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare setting, is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus.
- Experience in using Microsoft Excel, DHIS2 based systems and other data collection and reporting tools

- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in commonly spoken local languages is an added advantage.

Physical Availability:
- Ability to travel on water
- Ability to ride a motorcycle is an added advantage
- Ability to reside in Buvúma/ Nyenga
Supervisory Controls: The individual will serve under the immediate supervision of Data Officer
Data clerks recruited under this project will be given one (1) year renewable employment contracts.
