Distribution Expert

Full-time

Star Hub Africa is hiring a Distribution Expert with a minimum of 1 year of experience distributing products in supermarkets and retail shops across Uganda. The ideal candidate will have strong connections within the retail distribution network, a deep understanding of supply chain logistics, and the ability to develop and execute distribution strategies that enhance product availability and sales.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective distribution strategies to ensure product availability in supermarkets and retail shops.
Identify and establish relationships with key retailers, supermarkets, and wholesalers.
Negotiate placement and pricing terms with retail partners.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishments to avoid stockouts.
Conduct market research to identify new distribution opportunities and improve
existing channels.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to product
distribution.
Provide regular reports and insights on sales performance, market trends, and
distribution challenges.
Train and support retail partners on product knowledge and sales techniques.

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in product distribution, specifically in supermarkets and retail shops in Uganda.
Strong network and existing relationships within the retail sector.
Understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyse market trends and develop strategic distribution plans.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
