Education and Skilling Consultant
Full-time
The Education and Skilling Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating education and skills development programs. This role requires a deep understanding of educational methodologies, vocational training, and capacity-building initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in the education sector, with a strong focus on developing programs that enhance employability and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of education and skilling programs that align with organizational goals and address the needs of target populations.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and opportunities for educational interventions.
• Develop curricula, training materials, and instructional guides that are relevant, inclusive, and up to date with current educational trends and industry standards.
• Oversee the implementation of education and skilling programs, ensuring that all activities are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with educators, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
• Monitor the progress of programs and make adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
• Provide training and capacity-building support to educators, trainers, and facilitators to enhance their effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and training sessions for various audiences, including students, educators, and industry professionals.
• Support the integration of new teaching methods and technologies into educational programs.
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess the impact and effectiveness of education and skilling programs.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and inform future program development.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on program performance for stakeholders.
• Build and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners to enhance program reach and impact.
• Contribute to Vanguard Economics’ business development efforts in the education and skilling initiatives space.
• Stay informed on national and international education policies and trends and advise the VE on relevant policy developments.
• Contribute to the development of policy briefs, position papers, and other advocacy materials
Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Vocational Training, Development Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

• I have proficiency in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Familiarity with M&E tools and methodologies.
Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in education program design, implementation, and evaluation. Experience in vocational training or skills development is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of educational theories, practices, and trends.
• Understanding of vocational training and workforce development needs.
• Awareness of policy frameworks and advocacy strategies in the education sector.
