Education Officer

PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools) is hiring an Education Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. Professional Development

  • Design training frameworks and resources for teachers, school leaders, and support officers.
  • Implement professional development programs using the Trainer of Trainers model.

2. Curriculum Implementation

  • Support the rollout of competency-based curricula in Zambia.
  • Develop tools, schemes, and assessments to ensure effective curriculum implementation.

3. Education Priorities

  • Contribute to structured pedagogy programs and school improvement initiatives in government schools.
  • Collaborate on education roadmaps and priorities for Uganda and Zambia.

4. Fundraising & Communications

  • Assist in drafting proposals and managing external communications, including reports and presentations.

Key Qualifications

  • Teaching experience with a proven focus on improving student learning outcomes.
  • Understanding of best practices in education, leadership, and teacher development.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
