Electro-Mechanic Technician

Full-time

Join a leading team in heavy equipment management and maintenance. We seek a seasoned Electro-Mechanic Technician with extensive experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control of a diverse array of heavy lifting and earthmoving machinery, particularly Terex and Liebherr cranes, CAT forklifts and Genie manlifts.

Job Description/Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on heavy lifting equipment such as Terex cranes, Manitowoc cranes, CAT forklifts and Genie manlifts.
  • Lead quality control analyses and failure analysis for all lifting machinery post-repair.
  • Provide on-site training and knowledge transfer to local technicians, enhancing their capabilities in system calibration and schematic troubleshooting
  • Manage and execute parts requisition for maintenance and repair processes.
  • Conduct PAT inspections and system calibrations for all electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with international standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a qualified Electro-Mechanic Technician in a heavy equipment environment, from a recognised Institution
  • Proven expertise in the maintenance and operation of Terex cranes and other specified heavy equipment brands (Liebherr, Manitowoc, Genie, CAT).
  • Valid heavy drivers permit (a must)
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and lead training sessions on electrical and mechanical system maintenance.
  • Extensive experience in conducting failure analyses and quality control checks following equipment repair.
  • Must be able to read hydraulic and electrical schematic blue prints, (non- negotiable)
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems to do troubleshooting for calibration.
  • Prior experience working internationally, particularly in challenging and diverse environments.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Certification in Crane Safety Operations.
  • Proficiency in LIEBHERR, LICCON diagnostic system
  • Proficiency in TEREX, CANBAS diagnostic system
  • Proficiency in CAT Diagnoser and Jung Heinrich software systems.
  • Ability to repair various sensitive hydraulic and electronic circuit systems
  • Must be able to operate various cranes during testing and repairs
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages considered a plus
