Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent
As Employee Relations and Governance Manager, you will report directly to the People and Culture Director
KEY PURPOSE STATEMENT
The role will contribute to CCBU’s vision by minimizing organizational risk by acting as the organization’s custodian of HR governance and compliance. They will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and managing positive employee relations within the Business
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Act as a thought leader and Expert for CCBU on subjects of Employee Relations and Governance by leading efforts to analyse general
industry and market trends and unpacking internal Business requirements with regard to employee relations.
• Compile annual Strategies and plans to execute the Organisation’s Employee Relations vision
• Guiding, coaching the rest of the HR team and the Business on best practices for Employee Relations
• Acting as advisor and internal consultant in instances where the organisation needs to implement large and specific governance and
people services initiatives to effect transformational change.
• Establish an environment that is conducive to positive Employee Relations by keeping abreast of all labour and industrial relations
legislation and regulations, among others.
• Lead the establishment of HR controls and enforce adherence to legislative, regulatory and internal Governance by planning, scheduling
and coordinating audits and assessing to determine levels of compliance, among others.
• Oversee the formal disciplinary, incapacity and grievance processes
• Lead, and manage the processes of collective bargaining for Union employees, and all other Union related processes
• Take on any other responsibilities as may be assigned by Management
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
• Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management.
• Added advantage: Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Experience
• Minimum requirement: 12 to 14 years experience in Human Resources Corporate or consulting environment with at least 6 years focused on working in
Employee Relations/Industrial Relations.
