ONE ACRE FUND - Jobs in Uganda

About One Acre Fund

Industry: Agriculture
Location: Kisonga
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund. Piloted in 2020, the One Acre Fund Central Program supports coffee growers, who currently use old tree stocks and outdated techniques, with GAP extension, inputs, and market access. In 2022, 8,400 coffee farmers were served, with a $75 impact per farmer (and impact expected to grow over time), and a good program retention rate of 90%. In 2023, we served ~10,000 coffee farmers in Mukono district. Through our 2024-2027 expansion we aim to reach an additional 34,000 coffee farmers per year by 2027.
