Field officers

Full-time

The Field officers will support the implementation of the DREAMS project through mobilization, sensitization, and empower other AGYW through personal experiences, lessons learnt and testimonies in assigned districts to ensure that such girls are Determined, Resilient, AIDS Free, Mentored and Safe.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily operations of the Formal Safe Space, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
• Support the timely enrollment and screening and service layering of the right AGYWS on the program

• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients, using evidencebased approaches.

• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized support plans for clients.
• Collaborate with other teams and organizations to ensure comprehensive support services for clients.
• Supervise and support a team of assistant Field Officers, and support staff.
• Develop and implement program activities, including life skills training and empowerment programs.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of program activities and outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, organizations, and stakeholders.
• Ensure the program meets organizational and international standards, including Sphere and GBV guidelines.

• Ensure proper storage of program case management tools to facilitate effective and systematic case management from enrolment through beneficiary graduation.
• Ensure CMES are conducted to staff.

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work and social administration, social sciences, Counseling, or a related fieldcommunity service
• Strong knowledge of gender-based violence, trauma-informed care, and survivorcentered approaches.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Certification in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Experience managing programs and teams in a humanitarian or development setting.
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to gender-based violence
• At least three years’ experience working with adolescents especially girls.

Other desired attributes:
• Fluency in local languages and English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines

• A ability to reside in the rural areas of Kayunga
