Field Sales Manager

Full-time

Job Purpose

You will proactively pursue sales prospects within a designated geographical area by consistently refining your sales and presentation skills. This involves integrating lead generation, effective pitching, customer profiling, and outstanding post-sales communication. The ultimate goal is to enhance customer satisfaction and boost business profitability through the direct sales representative channel.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the recruitment, coaching, mentoring and establishment of a robust sales and customer-centric skill set for direct sales representatives
  • Should possess effective communication skills, and be able to seamlessly and effortlessly cascade to the direct sales channel the direction of the business
  • Responsible for the overall implementation of sales programs and the end-to-end execution of sales activities, in sync with the direction of the business in assigned territory
  • Develop local networks to assist in growing sales volumes
  • Management of inventory
  • Pioneer and uphold M-KOPA brand values
  • Be fully engrossed in maintaining a healthy credit standing in the assigned area of operation
  • Responsible for a methodical and systematic approach in handling stocks for an assigned depot/location
  • Should be a change catalyst, ensuring that any change in focus for the business is not met with resistance by the team (direct sales representatives); but, embraced and adhered to
  • You should be a data driven enthusiast and, as such, interpret reports seamlessly, populate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business centric reports
  • Should be a great collaborator, have top notch interpersonal skills and be able to blend in well with team members for a collective win
  • Be always abreast with competitor intelligence, customer insights and market trends and promptly share them with internal teams

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Required

• Three (3+) years of sales experience

• Proven track record of leadership

• High levels of integrity

• Excellent sales and negotiation skills

• Ability to motivate and lead a team

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Good planning and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency calls

• Ability to be a change catalyst

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
