Field Sales Manager

Full-time

We are looking for a Field Sales Manager to join our Sales group; as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

Job Purpose

In this role, you will proactively pursue sales prospects within a designated geographical area while continuously honing your sales and presentation skills.

This includes lead generation, effective pitching, customer profiling, and maintaining exceptional post-sales communication. Your primary aim is to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business profitability through the direct sales representative channel.

What will you do?

  • You will be responsible for recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and building a strong sales and customer-focused skillset among direct sales representatives.
  • You will also oversee the implementation of sales programs and execute end-to-end sales activities in alignment with the business’s objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Additionally, you will develop local networks to increase sales volumes, manage inventory effectively, and maintain a healthy credit standing in your area of operation.
  • Your responsibilities will also involve adopting a structured and systematic approach to handling stocks for an assigned depot or location.
  • This is a field role in Uganda reporting to the Regional Manager.

Expertise

  • A key aspect of the role is being data-driven, which includes interpreting reports seamlessly and generating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business-focused reports.
  • Staying updated on competitor intelligence, customer insights, and market trends is essential, and you will be expected to share this information with internal teams promptly.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least three years of sales experience, a proven leadership track record, and high integrity levels.
  • You should possess excellent sales and negotiation skills, the ability to motivate and lead a team, and exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
