Financial Accountant

Full-time

You will join the team as a full-time Financial Accountant. As such, you are responsible for our financial accounting, repayment reconciliations, and reporting to our funders and investors. Concretely, your responsibilities include:

Financial accounting, management reporting, and audits
Reconcile business and lending activities
Head our repayment team that handles incoming loan repayments and resolve non-repayment issues together with our team and partners
Report to funding partners and investors
Support the closing of investments and funding deals
Contribute to fact-based decision making

You will report directly to the CEO. The position is full-time and located in our beautiful office in Bugolobi, Kampala.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a down-to-earth and meticulous person with a knack for numbers. In a perfect world you bring the following:

3-5 years of experience in accounting or controlling, ideally with financial institutions
Good understanding of credit
Meticulous work attitude and high attention to detail
Hands-on mentality
Desire to work in a fast-paced tech startup
Advanced excel skills
Experience with Quickbooks is an advantage
