Girls Programme Officer

As an organisation, one of our most important thematic areas is gender equality. We are committed to supporting young girls to overcome barriers that deter them from thriving to their full potential, through football. This involves offering access to football as a sport, education, and health opportunities.

To support this goal, we are looking for you to become our Girls Programme Officer (female, full-time).

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Gender mainstreaming. Lead and coordinate the integration of female participants into the programmes of Watoto Wasoka, through, but not limited to, girls’ football.
Girls Team. Assume and uphold the role of Team Manager for the K.S. Sparta 09 Girls’ team, including but not limited to management and coordination of our girls’ teams.
Capacity building. Coordinate capacity building opportunities for female coaches and young girls in our programming, such as trainings, coaching courses, and volunteering opportunities.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Education: a diploma or bachelor’s degree in social work, business administration, or a related field.
Candidates of lower qualifications are also encouraged to apply if they have the relevant experience.
Experience: at least 1 year of experience in a similar position at a reputable Organisation.

Skills and Abilities:

You don’t need to be a football expert, but you should love play/sport!
Basic knowledge in MS Office packages (word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint)
Outgoing personality with passion for working with community stakeholders and young girls.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Team player, reliable and dedicated.
