Mission

S/He will be working under the procurement Manager. S/He will be responsible to perform the following tasks under the supervision of the Procurement Manager and the Unit Manager:

 

  1. To supervise and implement the whole procurement process and all procurement procedures.
  2. To receive and process the Internal Procurement Requests.
  3.  To implement the competitive bidding process.
  4. To finalize LPOs
  5.  To ensure proper and timely execution of LPOs by suppliers ·
  6. To closely watch and monitor local commodity markets and regularly update the prices as they are in the market ·
  7.  Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
  8.  Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  9.  Purchase and issue order in accordance with specification.
  10.  Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers (local and overseas).
  11.  Prepare reports and summarize data including sales report and book value.
  12.  Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey.
  13. Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
  14.   Assist in managing and following up overseas orders.
  15. Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
  16. Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  17. Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors when the need arises.
  18. Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.
  19.  Negotiate for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service) with suppliers and sub-contractors assigned.
  20.  Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  21.  Purchase and issue order in accordance with specification.
  22. To create and then maintain and update a complete and detailed database of existing and alternative suppliers ·
  23.  Working closely with Stores Dept. to ensure optimum levels of inventory/stock; avoid over- or under stocking

Profile

  Working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems. · Able to work independently, yet excellent team player.

  • Good communicator.
  • Good knowledge of computer applications: Word, Excel, Access or other data base programme (good knowledge of data base programme is essential).
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Results oriented.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Committed and loyal to the company.
  • Honest, integer, reliable, mature, professional attitude and personality.
