Grants and Business Development Coordinator

Full-time

PEAS Uganda is seeking a Grants and Business Development Coordinator. This role is responsible for overseeing grant reporting and management to ensure compliance with donor requirements, supporting grant-related business development efforts, and contributing to the organization’s growth initiatives. You will be involved in identifying funding opportunities, proposal writing, and cultivating partnerships.

Reporting to: Country Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant reporting and management (90%)
  • Business development support (10%)
  • Identify and explore new funding opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and external agencies

Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Finance, Business Development, or Social Sciences)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in raising and managing grants in an NGO setting
  • Expertise in working with donors such as EU, DFID/FCDO, USAID
  • High numeracy skills and understanding of financial controls
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Confidence in relationship-building with senior colleagues and donors

Desired:

  • Knowledge of major corporate funding agencies
  • Familiarity with current development philosophies and trends
  • Experience in managing bilateral and multilateral funding grants for NGOs
