Health & Safety Advisor

Full-time

True North Consults is hiring a Health & Safety Advisor to  support the H&S Lead in developing and implementing targeted HSE Improvement Plans. This role ensures compliance with approved plans, fosters relationships with stakeholders, and actively participates in risk assessments, contractor evaluations, and site monitoring.

Reports To: H&S Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Support EPcmC staff and contractors in delivering pipeline and associated infrastructure on time and within budget.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching for local personnel, coordinating with training providers.
  • Implement and promote safe work practices across project sites.
  • Communicate and reinforce the Worley principles of ‘Life’ and Zero Harm.
  • Engage with project leadership and staff to ensure clarity on HSE roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Review contractor HSE procedures and conduct compliance audits/surveillance.
  • Monitor and report on HSE activities, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct incident investigations, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and verify HSE metrics.
  • Conduct equipment, materials, and site inspections for HSE compliance.
  • Foster ethical and compliant behavior in alignment with company policies.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an internationally recognized HSE certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in onshore pipeline projects, including AGI, MST facilities, and EITS infrastructure.

Key Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of safety compliance, risk controls, and site HSE hierarchy.
  • Ability to develop and implement project HSE strategies.
  • Experience in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and analytical reporting.
  • Proficiency in PTW systems and approval controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams.
  • Experience managing and mentoring multicultural contractor teams.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in industry applications such as Assure, OMIE, Aconex, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite.
