Human Resource Intern
Internship
We are seeking a Human Resource Intern to assist our Human Resources department with key tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, and other Human Resource processes. This role will provide valuable experience and exposure to various aspects of human resources, giving the intern hands-on experience in a dynamic and mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn and support a growing team.
Reports To: Human Resource Officer
Location: Jinja
Key Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with the shortlisting of applicants.
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including preparing orientation materials, collecting necessary documentation, and organizing training schedules.
- Maintain employee records and assist in data entry and management of HR databases.
- Help ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with organizing and documenting employee performance reviews and evaluations.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as team events and recognition programs.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with scheduling, data entry, or document management.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
