Interface Manager

Full-time

The Interface Manager is fully responsible for the design interface and the Oil field development project coordination.

Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, operation sites, or other cities if required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of system interfaces and integrations.
  • Liaise with Contractors to identify and resolve interface-related challenges.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive interface responsibility matrix and ensure the resolution of identified queries.
  • Liaise with Partners’ Interface Managers to identify potential risks associated with each interface and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks.
  • Responsible for implementing a change management process to handle modifications in interface agreements.
  • Responsible for documentation of all changes, and communication of these in compliance with the processes agreed with Partners and regulatory authorities.
  • Review the activities of various disciplines like Piping, Mechanical, and Electrical among others, and provide technical expertise to ensure that interfaces are designed and implemented correctly.
  • Oversee the coordination of interfaces among the various departments, Contractors, and/or other Parties whenever required.
  • Responsible for preparing project proposals, timeframes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking project progress and report any issues that arise to Management.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Complete, cascade, and maintain necessary project reports to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or the related.
  • At least 8 years’ proven work experience in project management in the Oil and Gas sector including 6 years in design or site construction management for Oll and Gas field projects.
  • International working experience is preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Familiar with project management procedures in Oil and Gas field projects.
  • Familiar with site management procedures and requirements.
  • High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
  • Experience with interface testing and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in integration methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
