Intersectional Training Manager

Full-time

The Intersectional Training Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the administrative and logistical aspects of MSF’s intersectional, international, and local training activities hosted by the MSF Support Unit in Kampala (SUKA)

Key Responsibilities:

A. Plan and Organize Training Activities

  1. Serve as the focal person for all training host requests and provide administrative support to MSF sections.
  2. Manage the international training activities calendar, including planning locations and bookings.
  3. Organize and supervise on-site logistical activities, including airport pickups, training site setup, and medical emergencies.
  4. Forecast and ensure the availability of required training equipment and services (e.g., PA systems, translation tools, vehicles).
  5. Manage the international training activity budget in collaboration with finance departments, including forecasting and follow-ups on billing processes.
  6. Engage in peer-to-peer exchanges to optimize tools and processes for learning activities.

B. Team Management

  1. Forecast and allocate team workloads and tasks throughout the year.
  2. Set objectives, guide, and appraise team performance.
  3. Collaborate with HR to manage career development and ensure team well-being.

C. Support In-House Training Activities

  • Assist the Personnel Development Manager (PDM) and HR team in organizing venues and logistics for face-to-face internal trainings, including workshops and themed events.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, or Human Resources.
  • Additional training in Training of Trainers (ToT) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in team management and coordinating learning activities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MSF is a strong asset.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, learning styles, and public speaking.

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
