IT & Digital Services Manager

The IT & Digital Services Manager will oversee our digital infrastructure. support systems, IT Operations as well as ensuring the stability, security and efficiency of our IT environment. The IT & Digital Services Manager is also responsible for leading the IT support team. and managing day-to-day IT Operations.
Reports to: GM Finance and Operations
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain critical IT Infrastructure, including both software and hardware.
- Oversee business-critical IT tasks and system administration.
- Manage hardware and software Inventory.
- Lead IT project management initiatives within the larger business strategies.
- Evaluate and adopt relevant emerging technologies that align with organizational needs.
- Catalyse adoption of digital technology that supports future business needs and innovation.
- Take a lead role in identifying business opportunities that support digital transformation strategy.
- Oversee and support innovation across the business platforms.
- Proactively implement measures that protect the business against cybersecurity and other potential exposures.
- Manage all IT systems. platforms and solutions to continually identify and implement areas for improvement.
- Implement and execute disaster planning strategies and policies including backups.
- Ensure the security of data and infrastructure and adherence to the data protection Act.
- Manage incidents and problems to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and high-quality standards are maintained.
- Oversee IT-related projects (Project Participation. leadership and Supervision) ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Maintaining updated hardware and software inventories.
- Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees. communicating job expectations and appraising their performance against set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Implement the team time management schedules: rotas, leave.
- Implement and coordinate existing organizational policies and procedures.
- Address and implement all audit findings related to ICT and digital technology.
- Handle IT and digital technology annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- This role demands strong technical expertise. leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining a robust IT environment that aligns with the organization’s business goals.
- Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Professional: Microsoft certification (MCSE or MCITP), ITIL v4.
- Cybersecurity certification is an added advantage.
- Experience: 5 years of relevant working experience.

- Stakeholder Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across departments.
- Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software systems
- Data Management: Expertise in data centre management and data governance
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team in designing. implementing, configuring and maintaining IT solutions and initiatives.
