Junior Writing Intern

Qualifications:

The applicable candidate must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

1. Must be a holder Bachelors Degree in Journalism or Communication (1st class or 2nd class upper).

2. Should have graduated from Uganda Christian University not more than three years ago.

Specific Roles:

1. Produce well-researched content for online and print publication.

2. Gathering and publishing on the website plus other social media platforms research work and university projects

3. Supporting data collection efforts to enhance day-to-day website-update effort

4. Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the university’s mission to pitch story ideas and content.

5. Produce and post journalistic articles for the university website.

6. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated both in print and digital platforms.

2. Excellent English-language proficiency

3. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

4. Strong interpersonal skills

5. Ability to work with a team

6. Willingness and openness to learning
