Lecturer

Qualifications

1. A Master of Laws (LLM) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized institution of Higher Learning;

2. A Doctor of Laws (LLD) will be an added advantage.

3. At least two (2) years of University teaching experience at the level of Lecturer or Assistant Lecturer or three (3) years teaching experience at the level of Tutorial Assistant in an institution of higher learning.

4. Should have undertaken a minimum of one academic research dissertation.

5. Must be a committed and practicing Christian.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

1. To teach in arears allocated by the Dean or Head of Department in each Semester.

2. To assess exams and other assignments like course work, mentoring and supervision of undergraduate research.

3. To engage in academic research and publication.

4. To engage with all scholarly and professional activities and events in the School.

5. To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.

6. To assist in the development of learning materials and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.

7. To provide student support in pastoral roles, counselling and career guidance.

8. Compliance with ODel guidelines.

9. To engage in community outreach programmes.

10. Perform any other official duties as may be assigned from time to time.
