Legal Representative 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Consultation Services: 

o Provide immediate legal advice on matters arising within the organization. o Offer guidance and strategic legal counsel to the management team. 2. Attendance at Meetings: 

o Represent Ashinaga Uganda at board meetings, negotiations, and other critical  engagements as required. 

3. Correspondence: 

o Handle all legal correspondence related to ongoing legal matters, including  letters, emails, and faxes. 

4. Legal Opinions: 

o Prepare and present legal opinions on controversial or complex issues under Ugandan law. 

5. Documentation: 

o Draft, review, and negotiate basic agreements, ensuring they meet  organizational requirements. 

o Handle the registration of documents and filing of annual returns as needed. 6. Company Secretarial Services:

o Provide secretarial services, including attending board meetings, and general  meetings, and managing other statutory documents. 

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in legal practice, preferably with experience in  non-profit organizations. 
• A practicing advocate of the High Court of Uganda. 
• Proven experience providing legal representation and advice in contentious and non contentious matters. 
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. 
• Ability to manage complex legal issues and provide timely, strategic legal solutions.
