Maintenance Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop maintenance plans, work instructions, and spare part strategies for all equipment on-site (mechanical and electrical), based on OEM recommendations.
• Define processes for breakdowns, planned, and corrective maintenance.
• Develop quality control procedures for maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for equipment and facilities.
• Maintain absolute adherence to Health and Safety protocols within the plant.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (both on- and off-duty).
• Utilize data analysis to anticipate and prevent future problems.
• Manage contractors and suppliers on-site.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and coach employees in problem-solving.
• Manage the spare part inventory and ensure proper stock control.
• Conduct routine checks to identify potential issues and take immediate corrective action.
• Control and manage the approved maintenance and repair budget, providing cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in the workshop.
• Assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency.
• Manage the maintenance team proactively and perform administrative tasks like report writing.
• Foster a continuous improvement and high-performance culture.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in Maintenance Supervision.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machines.
• Knowledge in PLC and SCADA systems.
• Experience with feed milling machines is preferred.
• ERP knowledge is an added advantage.
