Manager Business Development

Full-time

The Manager Business Development is responsible for the growth and retention of studentship and membership, as well as enhancing the Institute’s image and brand. The job holder will develop and implement marketing strategies that improve the customer experience for all stakeholders.

Job Title: Manager Business Development
Role Location: Kampala

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee membership and studentship growth, registration, development, and retention.
  2. Coordinate service provision across stakeholders.
  3. Develop, implement, and monitor the Institute’s marketing plan to promote its image and brand.
  4. Manage engagement and communication functions and coordinate the Institute’s events to achieve set objectives.
  5. Implement an image database to meet the needs of the Communications, Relations, and Events Teams.
  6. Continuously scan the environment for emerging trends, opportunities, and threats.
  7. Develop, implement, and monitor departmental plans and budgets.
  8. Implement appropriate risk management within the department.
  9. Supervise line staff.
  10. Provide administrative support to the Committees responsible for Member Services, Marketing, and Events Management.
  11. Carry out any other duties as requested by the Secretary/CEO.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in a business-related field.
  2. Postgraduate qualification in business development, strategy, or marketing is an added advantage.
  3. Professional certification in marketing or accountancy is an added advantage.
  4. At least seven (7) years of relevant experience.
