Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure business process re-engineering efforts align with the organization’s strategic objectives and long-term goals.
  • Plan and implement strategies for the efficient processing of production and registration data.
  • Develop procedures and work methods to ensure efficient and cost-effective registration and production workflows.
  • Validate benefits, costs and opportunity fit of all process/system changes.
  • Establish mechanisms for planning, completing, and monitoring process changes for projects including pre- and post-acquisition assessments.
  • Work with colleagues across all levels and functions of the organization to assess and improve current processes.
  • Communicate the status of initiatives and projects to appropriate organizational levels.
  • Participate in business and capital planning processes to acquire resources needed for process improvements.
  • Lead the documentation of business user requirements to standardize URSB processes.
  • Monitor and guide consultations with users, vendors, and consultants to ensure effective process changes.
  • Quality assure system changes and coordinate plenary sessions to validate changes.
  • Ensure necessary approvals are obtained prior to rollout of new processes or systems.
  • Maintain an inventory of all business procedures and processes.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of implemented processes and make adjustments where necessary.
  • Measure performance of processes against set objectives (KPIs) to identify and mediate gaps.
  • Analyze frequent user challenges to inform process adjustments.
  • Plan and manage the performance and development of staff to improve productivity.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff.
  • Implement activities to create and harness teamwork in the business unit.
  • Manage readiness and capacity for technology changes.
  • Maintain frameworks to monitor and minimize security threats to the inventory.
  • Update process guidebooks, business rules, and user manuals as needed.
  • Directly supervise and appraise the teams within the structure
  • Over see the daily activities of the business processes and innovation teams
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the team and bureau officers
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

Key Outputs

  • To be responsible for the development, and maintenance of processes and procedures within URSB aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and overall performance by identifying areas of improvement within processes and workflows.

 

Qualification and Experience

Essential:

  • An Honours degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Computing, Economics, Statistics, or any business-related science discipline from a recognized institution.
  • A Master’s degree in a computer science /software engineering related field

Desirable:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a reputable organization, preferably public sector with 3 years at a supervisory level.
  • Experience in supervising and guiding a team of professionals.
  • Experience in analysis, documentation, and implementation of business processes in an automated environment.

Experience:
