Manager Credit Administration

Full-time

The Manager Credit Administration will provide leadership and direction to the Bank’s Credit Administration Unit, ensure sound credit risk management policies and procedures, and proactively manage the technical aspects of credit administration processes with efficiency and accuracy.

 

Job Title: Manager Credit Administration (Readvertised)

Reports to: Senior Manager Credit Administration

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely submission of accurate reports as required by key stakeholders including field operations, management, Board, Bank of Uganda, External and Internal Audit.
  • To supervise and proactively manage the CRB portfolio and reporting within the parameters of the banking laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate implementation of internal credit policies and procedures to enhance credit risk management and limited exposure at all levels.
  • Portfolio management: Performing analysis /review of risk classification of loans advances and computing the required general and specific provisioning of the portfolio in line with Bank of Uganda regulations for Asset Quality and IFRS9.
  • Ensure safe lending: Manage the administration of loan documentation for staff loans in full compliance with the internal policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Collateral Management: Ensure effective policies and procedures are in place for the safe custody and control of all loans files and security documents at the bank, ensure that adequate insurance covers are maintained for qualifying collateral types as per policy. Coordinate the collateral valuation and perfection processes as per bank policies and procedures.
  • Kiva fundraising: Ensure achievement of set targets for fundraising and journaling on the Kiva platform through efficient administration of Kiva processes and coordination with field staff.
  • Credit Life Insurance: Monitoring of the credit life insurance contract for compliance with SLA and the policy for all claims. Carry out regular reporting on status of the credit life insurance schemes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Banking, finance Business Administration or related field.
  • At least five years’ experience in Credit Administration and knowledge of Ba products and operations. Experience leading teams

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Credit trained and familiar with portfolio management tools and the legal a regulatory environment.
  • Understanding of banking laws al knowledge of risk management and leg issues related to commercial.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank’s operational technical aspect of the credit processes.
  • Financial analysis skills and accounting knowledge.
  • A proactive problem solver with excellent credit and analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of core banking system
    Experience with Rubikon Orbit-R Core
    Banking system is an added advantage.
  • Good numerical analytical skills
  • Financial analysis skills and accounting knowledge.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
