Centenary Bank is hiring a suitably qualified, experienced and competent person to fill the position of Manager Merchant Acquiring Business. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and result-driven professional.
Role: To create strategic ownership for point of sale (POS) and E-Commerce channels. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to maximize uptake utilization on these two channels, revenue generation and continuous customer journey improvement. In addition, there is a critical need to pro-actively monitor and manage POS &E-commerce related risks to minimize exposure to the bank. E- commerce includes all payment types such as debit card, prepaid card and others.

Role:
Key Result Areas:
- Develop a usage and adoption strategy for POS, E Commerce, QR code among others.
- Drive channel utilization and profitability.
- Promote and present digital payment solutions and other banking products to merchants as per their business needs.
- Performance management for the merchant acquiring team.
- Maintain merchants’ relationships to ensure continuous growth and sales targets are achieved.
- Create a sales schedule and Targets for the Acquiring team, follow up and provide regular updates.
- Build and manage the relationships of key Merchant accounts.
- Prepare reports as required regarding business development including market comparison analysis, business opportunities, recommendations, etc.
- Daily tracking of the sales team’s performance with immediate actions as required
- Undertake office administrative duties as required in conjunction with operations and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure that cross-selling of other banking products such as loans, cards, deposit accounts, etc.
- Gather and share market/competitor intelligence and inform Channel Head about any gaps in product offering compared to peers.
- Ensure flaws are avoided and errors are rectified in very good time.
- Implement and drive proactive risk management checks and controls.
- Work hand in hand with the Marketing team to draw promotional campaigns for the channel.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course i.e Economics, Commerce, Business Administration/Studies, Quantitative Economics
Required Experience and Competences:
- At least 5 to 6 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring business
- Advanced product knowledge in Card and payments business is an added advantage.
