Medical Officer

St. John XXIII Hospital Aber, Lira Diocese on behalf of Alanyi HC IV, is hiring a qualified and experienced Medical Officer to join their team in Alanyi HCIV, Alebtong District.

Location: Alanyi HC IV, Alebtong District
Reports to: Health Centre In-charge

Responsibilities:
Provide medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases
Conduct ward rounds, assess patients, and provide appropriate medical interventions.
Provide emergency medical care, including first aid and emergency surgery.
Participate in health education and promotion activities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records,

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
At least 2 years of post-internship experience in a reputable health facility.
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Ability to work in a rural setting with limited resources.
