Occupational Health and Safety Officer

Green Power International Limited is hiring a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join our team. If you are passionate about ensuring workplace safety and compliance, we invite you to apply!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to meet both legislative and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections to identify hazards, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
  • Provide safety training and workshops to staff to raise awareness and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance and compliance, while recommending and implementing continuous improvement measures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Occupational Health and Safety, with a proven track record of undertaking at least two similar assignments.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments, safety audits, and investigations.
  • Certification in first aid and emergency response is a plus.
