Online Video Production Supervisor
Contract
Nation Media Group is hiring a Online Video Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing all phases of video content creation, from pre-production planning to post-production review and delivery. This role involves managing staff, coordinating resources and schedules, ensuring brand standards are met, and delivering high-quality videos that align with marketing and social media objectives. The Video Production Supervisor must balance creativity with efficiency, ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget.
Reports to: Head of Creative
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination
- Oversee the full lifecycle of video projects, including concept development, scripting, shooting, editing, and final delivery.
- Collaborate with the social media team and other stakeholders to determine project objectives, themes, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and mentor the video production team (e.g., camera operators, editors)
- Assign tasks, provide feedback, and ensure team members understand project goals and responsibilities.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency
- Review and approve video content to maintain high production standards and brand consistency.
- Ensure that all content aligns with company guidelines, messaging, and target audience needs.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to keep the team’s video output fresh and relevant.
Budgeting & Resource Allocation
- Develop and manage the unit’s production budget, controlling costs while maintaining production quality.
- Plan for and allocate necessary equipment, staff, and other resources in advance to avoid production delays.
- Research and recommend new production tools or techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Establish and refine processes, workflows, and guidelines to optimize production timelines and resource use.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permissions, and licensing agreements (e.g., music rights, location permits).
- Maintain clear and organized records of production assets, contracts, and legal documentation.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners regarding production-related matters.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with freelancers, and contractors
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional: Demonstrated portfolio of successful video projects (e.g., corporate, marketing, social media)
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in video production, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Core Competencies
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in video production tools and software (e.g.,Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Creative Suite( Light room, Premier Pro, Photo shop & After Effects), Adobe Sound Enhancer or similar software.
- Solid understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and video editing workflows.
- Experience with project management tools.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
