Partnerships and Mobilization Consultant

Fidelis Leadership Institute in Kampala is hiring a Partnerships and Mobilization Consultant responsible for establishing and managing partnerships, mobilizing resources, and developing the organization’s fundraising strategy.
The consultant will be responsible for:
• Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with government agencies, private sector companies, international organizations, and civil society organizations that can support BDSPN’s mission and objectives.
• Resource Mobilization: Mobilize resources, including funding, expertise, and other forms of support, to support BDSPN’s programs and activities
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, private sector leaders, and international organization representatives to promote BDSPN’s interests and objectives.
• Proposal Development: Develop proposals and concept notes for funding opportunities.
• Reporting and Monitoring: Provide regular reports and updates on partnership development, resource mobilization, and stakeholder engagement.
Deliverables
The consultant will be expected to deliver the following:
• A monthly report outlining progress on partnership development, resource mobilization, and stakeholder engagement.
• A quarterly report highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
• A comprehensive report summarizing achievements, lessons learned, and future plans.
• At least one proposal or concept note that secured funding of not less than UGX 150,000,000/=(one hundred fifty million Uganda shillings) during the first three months period.
Retainer Fees and commissions
The Consultant will be paid a 10% commission on any surplus against successful funding and completion of the assignment as a result of his/her engagement, which will cover all services provided under this agreement except disbursements.
Qualifications
The consultant should have:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership development, resource mobilization, and/or
• business development.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining partnerships, mobilizing resources, and project
• design, proposal writing, and promoting organizational interests.
• Strong knowledge of the Ugandan business and development landscape.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to deliver results quickly.
Duration
The engagement will be for an initial period of 6 months, renewable subject to satisfactory performance
and mutual agreement.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• Technical proposal (60%): approach, methodology, and experience.
• Financial proposal (15%): monthly retainer fee.
• CV and qualifications (20%): relevant experience and qualifications.
• Professional references (5%): quality and relevance of references.
