Procurement Officer

Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. This position requires a strong background in supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Procurement Processes: Oversee the procurement cycle, from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment of supplies.

 

  • Cost Analysis: Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the development and management of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including finance, operations, and logistics, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

 

  • Reporting: Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within a reputable company.

 

  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
