Procurement Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing and reviewing company strategies for ordering supplies and equipment for the company
• Preparing organisation wide procurement plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
• Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
• Evaluating suppliers, products, and services. negotiating contracts in line with company’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Negotiating contracts with vendors for new purchases
• Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and overseeing and approving timely purchase of products and services
• Managing inventories to ensure adequate stock
• Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Researching and evaluating prospective  suppliers.
• Supervising Store management in all BFC stations,
• Communicating with Suppliers to maintain positive relations,

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management/ BSC Accounting/ BBA, CIPS added Advantage
• 3 years experience as a Procurement Officer in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software (Sage X3).
• Networking and Negotiation Skills
