Procurement Officer
Full-time
The role of the Procurement Officer is to acquire goods and services necessary for business operations, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient. Value for money, high quality and comply with company standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and reviewing company strategies for ordering supplies and equipment for the company
- Preparing organisation wide procurement plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
- Evaluating suppliers, products, and services. negotiating contracts in line with company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Negotiating contracts with vendors for new purchases
- Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and overseeing and approving timely purchase of products and services
- Managing inventories to ensure adequate stock
- Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Supervising Store management in all BFC stations,
- Communicating with Suppliers to maintain positive relations,
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management/ BSC Accounting/ BBA, CIPS added Advantage
- 3 years experience as a Procurement Officer in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software (Sage X3).
- Networking and Negotiation Skills
